The New Camaro!

Has anyone purchased or test driven the new Camaro? Is it really worth 30 grand. I would rather have a 1967-1969 Camaro. The first generation Camaro has impeccable styling. It really does. GM will never be able to recreate anything as beautiful as the first generation Camaro. It is an American classic like apple pie and hot dogs. The new Camaro looks like a cheap plastic remote control car. Does anybody know if the Camaro is based on another vehicle platform? The Pontiac GTO was based on the Holden Monaro coupe. So is the Camaro also based on a Australian coupe? Or is the Camaro based on a totally new and fresh platform? If I had to choose between a 1969 Z/28 Camaro and a 2010 Camaro SS, the 69 Z/28 would definitely be my choice. The new Camaro has a cartoonish appearance to me.
