Repost:Old TV Shows that you should Watch:The Equalizer

Repost of a blog entry from September 2007.

Play the clip above to watch the intro of "The Equalizer"

Chances are if you grew up in the 80s, you probably saw or you heard about The Equalizer. This show involved a character by the name of Robert McCall. McCall was an ex-spy/intelligence operative that decided to provide his services to the public by placing an ad in the newspaper. I know it sounds funny but it is true. People would contact McCall and he would help them with whatever problems they had. To put it in simple terms, he was hired muscle that had contacts with the police and various agencies. The show featured Eddie Woodward as Robert McCall and Billy Zabka aka the blond butthole from The Karate Kid as McCall's son. The show aired from September of 1985 to August of 1989. It is hard to believe that the show aired for only four seasons. The show can currently be seen on Universal HD at the times below. If you have time check the show out!

Mountain Time: 7:00 AM
Eastern Time: 9:00 AM

Update:

Two years after this post was written, Eddie Woodward passed away in November of 2009 from pneumonia. He was 79 years old. According to IMDB, a film version of "The Equalizer" is currently being produced. The release of this movie is expected to be in 2011 or 2012. In the Spring of 2008, the first season of "The Equalizer" was released on DVD. According to various reviews, the DVD does not contain the original music. Not only is the original music missing, but some scenes have been edited out. Anyways, "The Equalizer" was an awesome show for the time, and will forever stay in my memory. Peace to You Mr.Woodward!

Classic Watches for Men!

The last time I wrote a post on watches, was five years ago. Here is my personal list of classic time pieces.

1.Rolex Explorer
What I love most about this watch is that it is a very simple time piece. The Rolex Explorer has a price tag of six thousand dollars.

2.Rolex Submariner
This watch is basically built like a tank. I have seen quite a few Rolex Submariner watches take severe abuse over a period of time. They hold up very well.

3.Breitling Super Ocean 38
This watch has a similar appearance to the Rolex Submariner. What really stands out is the steel mesh bracelet.

4.Timex Camper
Simple and cheap! Enough said!

5. Marathon General Purpose Watch
This is another simple watch that can also withstand abuse. It is simple and attractive.

6.Tag Heuer Carrera Automatic
A great looking watch with racing heritage.

7.Cartier Tank Watch
A small manly watch with a timeless design.

Elin Woods aka Elin Norgegren is NOT a Victim!

Since when did victims receive millions of dollars? Elin is definitely not a victim. Elin knew very well that if Tiger cheated on her, she would be entitled to a lot of money. Elin is not a dumb woman. She did not marry Tiger Woods because he is a golfer. She married him because he is a RICH golfer with a good number of endorsements. Seriously! Another thing, Elin knew about Tiger's affairs for a number of years. Why is she acting as if she never had a clue as to what was going on. Please do not feel sorry for Elin. There are a lot of women and men that are in the same situation as Elin, and they are not receiving any money or property. If anything a lot of them are homeless and without transportation as I am typing this. Elin will not be suffering anytime soon. Elin will be okay people!

The New Camaro!

Has anyone purchased or test driven the new Camaro? Is it really worth 30 grand. I would rather have a 1967-1969 Camaro. The first generation Camaro has impeccable styling. It really does. GM will never be able to recreate anything as beautiful as the first generation Camaro. It is an American classic like apple pie and hot dogs. The new Camaro looks like a cheap plastic remote control car. Does anybody know if the Camaro is based on another vehicle platform? The Pontiac GTO was based on the Holden Monaro coupe. So is the Camaro also based on a Australian coupe? Or is the Camaro based on a totally new and fresh platform? If I had to choose between a 1969 Z/28 Camaro and a 2010 Camaro SS, the 69 Z/28 would definitely be my choice. The new Camaro has a cartoonish appearance to me.

Will Season 6 be the last season for Supernatural?

Sam and Dean cruising in the Impala.

Supernatural will turn five this upcoming September. It has not yet been determined if this season will be the last. I really do enjoy watching this show on TNT and on the CW network. I hope that this season will be the last. It is better that a TV show end while it is still fresh and entertaining. As the saying goes, it is better to go out while you are still on the top. Six seasons is a fairly good run for a TV show. Most TV shows last for no more than one season. Anyways, season six is set to premier on September 24, 2010. This season looks very promising. Peace!

Late News: Adela Noriega was or is Pregnant?

Adela walking and window shopping!

How did I miss this piece of news? According to tabloid news reports, Adela had a baby bump in the spring of 2009. I viewed a picture of Adela that was taken last year for a few hours yesterday. It was hard for me to determine if she was pregnant at the time. Does anyone know for sure? Leave a comment if you have any information. Peace!
