Jerry Lewis Marathon:Where is all of the money going to?
The Jerry Lewis marathon is a total waste of time! It really is. When I was a little punk growing up in the late 1980s, I always changed the channel. Now that I am in my twenties, I still change the channel. The only difference now, is that I have a few questions about the money that is being raised. Where is the money going to? Like Chris Rock said, "Is the money being used to keep Jerry's hair black?" Has a cure been created for M.D.? Is it wrong for Jerry and his buddies to keep all of those millions. I want to know what Jerry is doing with millions of dollars. After 43 years of his bullshit marathon, Jerry needs to call it quits. Since he has so much money, he should create a hair dye company called "Jerry's Black Hair Kit Company".
James Dean and Natalie Wood on the set of Rebel with out a Cause.
It has been close to 54 years since James Dean passed away in a car accident. Since Dean's death, his image has been used for many things. It seems that people love to use Dean for commercials. This week I had the opportunity to view a commercial that was created by the King James ad agency. The commercial was created for the investment management firm Allan Gray. Whoever decided to use James Dean, made an excellent choice. Many James Dean commercials have been made since the 1980s. I would have to say that this is one of the best Dean commercials ever made. McDonald's had a commercial developed in the 1990s that featured Dean. In that commercial, James is walking through the streets of NY, eating a hamburger or a cheeseburger. Watch these James Dean commercials and leave a comment. Peace!
It is that time again for me to decide as to who is going to leave El Paso sooner or later. For 2009, it appears that a lot of reporters might be leaving for larger markets. Here is my list for 2009.
I feel that these people have the ambition to succeed in a larger market. Two anchors/reporters that worked in El Paso, have made it to the top. Michelle Gielan currently works for CBS Morning News. Michelle worked for KTSM in 2005. When I ask people if they remember Michelle, they usually say no. Christina Brown can be seen on MSNBC. She also worked for KTSM between 2001 and 2002. You might see the people in my list on CNN or MSNBC sooner or later. Peace!
Update:Nichole Ayoub returned to KDBC yesterday! She let her hair grow to a very long length. She looks different and MILFY. Welcome Back! Peace!
Every time I watch the KDBC news, I am constantly reminded about Nicole Ayoub being on maternity leave. Christina Rodda should just be honest and say "Hey, I have no fugging clue if Nichole is going to return!" I do not know if it is true, but according to various sources, things are not going very well at KDBC. I seriously doubt that Nichole wants to return to KDBC in its current state. I also want to mention that Christina Rodda is doing well in the anchor seat. I hope that KDBC can get it together and stay on for the next ten years. Peace!
The Hat Squad was a show that never really had a chance to gain an audience on CBS. I think what doomed the show was that it was shown on Saturday nights. Who is home on Saturday nights anyways? Well lets continue with this forgotten show. The show focused on three brothers that were adopted by a police officer. All three brothers eventually became officers and formed a unit known as the "The Hat Squad". They wore nice dress coats and dress hats in honor of the original "Hat Squad" from the 1940s. They also had a nice car. If I can remember correctly, they drove a 1969/70 Mustang Boss. The Hat Squad solved crimes and kicked ass while doing it. Only thirteen episodes were made and only eleven episodes were aired on CBS. The only well known stars that appeared in this show were James Tolkan aka Mr.Strickland from "Back to the Future" and Billy Warlock from Baywatch and soap opera fame. Somebody needs to bring this show back to the airwaves! Here is some more information on "The Hat Squad".
Title: The Hat Squad Years of Production: Sep 1992-Jan 1993 Cast: Shirley Douglas as Kitty Ragland Don Michael Paul as Buddy Nestor Serrano as Rafael James Tolkan as Capt.Ragland Billy Warlock as Matt
The very first time I ever heard Blaq Poet was in 2000. I remember picking up the Screwball album "Y2K" and playing F.A.Y.B.A.N. every day on my Discman. That and "You Love to Hear the Stories". After "Y2k", Screwball released "Loyalty" in the summer of 2001. I didn't have the opportunity to buy this album, for the mere fact that I was busy with college. After "Loyalty", Blaq Poet started working with DJ Premier again. Poet released "Poet has Come" along with "A Message from Poet" in 2003. In 2009, Poet has released "The Blaqprint" on Year Round Records. Let me tell you something, this album is excellent! It really is! If you miss real hip hop, then you need to pick up this album. With production from Premier and Easy Mo Bee, there is no disappointment with the music. So support Blaq Poet and Year Round Records.
It has been eight long years since Aaliyah has passed. At that time I was only a sophomore attending college out of the state. I could not believe that Aaliyah had passed in a plane crash. It took time for me to accept it. She was only 22 years old at the time. I guess it is true when they say that the good die young. Anyways, enjoy "Rock The Boat" from Aaliyah. Peace!
